Can this chimney brush be connected to a 3/8 inch chimney cleaning rod?
The A.W. Perkins 8 Inch x 12 Inch Rectangular Wire Chimney Brush features a 1/4 inch point thread and cannot be directly connected to a 3/8 inch chimney cleaning rod. For a brush with a 3/8 inch NPT thread compatible with 3/8 inch fiberglass rods, consider the Schaefer Rectangular Wire Chimney Brush (8 inch x 12 inch), which is currently in stock and ships the same business day. Alternatively, a 3/8 NPT to 1/4 NPT adapter is available to bridge the size difference.

They can indeed. This type of wire brush is intended primarily for both clay tile lined and unlined masonry chimneys.
