This spark screen was priced reasonably, looks great (the sturdy black construction is unobtrusive), and fits our older wood burning fireplace, which is apparently an uncommon size.

I wanted to make sure that I had a screen that would stop any sparks or stray embers from getting out into the room, but would also make sure we could see the fire very well. This screen has delivered and is attractive too.

In order to keep a wandering child from the perils of an open flame, we decided to get a fireplace screen. It looks good and keeps kids out!

Cats can be very curious creatures, and, with two of them, we decided that it would be in their best interest to keep them out of the gas fireplace and away from the pilot light. Thankfully this model of screen is not only well balanced and very sturdy, but also heavy enough that I don't think our cats could possibly push it out of the way.

I can say that the measurements are accurate, and I was very pleased with how stable and professional looking this screen is. Nothing was damaged when I received it, and it is very attractive.

One problem with many traditional screens is that sparks could fly out over the top and still manage to burn your floors (what else should a screen do?). I searched around until finding this screen on this website, and I love the curved top. The top has kept many sparks back on the hearth that would have otherwise escaped using my old screen.

One thing I am very pleased about, is how well the fireplace screen goes with the rest of the room. It also manages to keep my toddlers wandering hands away from the hot glass on the fireplace. It is stable and I would buy it again.
