What is the screen material? Is it mesh?

Beautiful Fireplace Screen
The screen itself is great. Looks beautiful. Great quality. The first screen arrived damaged during shipping by UPS. After submitting the claim form it was quickly replaced. The damaged screen was donated to Habitat for Humanity.

Best screen ever for the past 17 years
I am an architect. This screen follows form and function. It is elegant, simple, and well designed. It is sturdy, long lasting, and very heavy to resist any blow. It will not topple down. A friend even borrowed the screen over night to test it at her home. She is ordering an identical one.
