I'm wanting to convert my gas stovepipe to wood stove pipe. Is this possible and how much pipe do I need to go from wood stove in house and through roof line to make it safe and legal?

Wood burning appliances can only be vented through approved venting systems. Standard black stovepipe is approved in the home. However, Class A chimney pipe is required when passing through an attic to the outdoors. It would not be possible to convert your existing gas pipe to a wood burning system. If you'd like to fill out our Chimney Quote Form, we'd be happy to put together a system for you.
