What size pressure regulator does this propane burner require?

In most cases, a standard 1/2 by 1/2 regulator can be used, although the size of the supply line to the set and the pressure range your home operates on will make a difference.

Is this approved for use in Canada?
    1 Answer
Unfortunately, no. As of this time, vent free appliances of any kind are not legal for use in Canada. Only a vented coal basket or log assembly could be used in this case.

At 3300 BTU how much LP gas per hour is used?
    1 Answer
Propane usage is calculated at a rate of 91,600 BTUs per gallon. Thus it would take just under three hours on the highest setting for this burner to consume one gallon of propane.

I would recommend this item to a friend.
    Great product
The insert looks great in my black iron stove. It throws off good heat for the room. I'm satisfied, just wish it came with the remote thermostat rather than paying extra for it.
