This hearth rug is described as decorative. Is it also fire retardant or resistant for in front of a wood stove?
This rug is indeed fire retardant. With wool as the material, such a rug ranks second only to fiberglass in fire-retardancy. However, it is not fireproof. If singed by hot cinders, they will need light brushing to remove darkened areas.
