Customer Q&A with Product Specialists

Juan from Oak Harbor, Ohio asked:
Do you have any ventless gas logs in a 34-inch size?
Do you have any ventless gas logs in a 34-inch size?
We offer a wide selection of ventless (vent-free) gas log sets. These sets are typically manufactured in nominal sizes of 16, 18, 20, 24, and 30 inches, so a 34-inch vent-free set is not available in our catalog. The appropriate size is determined by your fireplace opening, not a matching number; a 34-inch opening is quite common. If 34 inches is the front width of your fireplace opening, our 30-inch sets are designed to fit. The Grand Canyon 30-inch Weathered Oak vent-free sets, which you may be viewing, are listed for a minimum firebox front width of 34 inches, a minimum rear width of 20 inches, a minimum depth of 14 inches, and a minimum opening height of 18 inches. You can find these options for both natural gas and propane: Grand Canyon 30 Inch Weathered Oak Vent Free Natural Gas Log Set and Burner and Grand Canyon 30 Inch Weathered Oak Vent Free Propane Gas Log Set and Burner. For the quickest way to find a set that fits, use our Virtual Gas Log Set Assistant. This tool guides you through fuel type, vent type, pilot style, and your firebox measurements to show only compatible sets. You can also explore our full Ventless Gas Logs department. Our Ventless Gas Logs Buyers Guide provides detailed instructions on how to measure your fireplace. To help us provide more specific recommendations, please let us know if your fireplace is a site-built brick or masonry fireplace, or a prefabricated metal firebox. Additionally, please provide the four measurements of your firebox opening: front width, rear width, depth, and height. Important Note: Vent-free log sets can only be installed in a masonry fireplace or a prefabricated wood-burning firebox specifically listed as compatible.
