The fire pit will be 30 feet away from the gas source; will a 1-inch line extension provide enough flow to operate properly? The HPC 30 Inch Stainless Steel Penta Burner Kit has a maximum natural gas input rating of 300,000 BTU. This figure represents the maximum capacity the burner can support, not a fixed output. The actual flame height and gas flow are determined by the upstream valve you install, as this is a burner-only kit and does not include a valve, key, or flex line.

Properly sizing the gas supply line depends on the total run length from your meter, any other appliances connected to that line, and your local gas supply pressure. Therefore, we cannot confirm if a 1-inch line extending 30 feet will provide sufficient gas flow for this burner. We recommend providing the burner's 300,000 BTU maximum rating to a licensed gas professional. They can accurately size the line from your meter according to local codes and install a valve to limit the flame to your desired lower height.
