The Hessaire Portable Evaporative/Swamp Cooler is compact in size, pleasing in aesthetics, and has performance exceeding coolers of a much larger size. This performance is achieved through expanding air-intake areas to the hi-density XeL50 rigid media. The hi-density XeL50 media provides 80 percent more evaporation surface compared to regular density media for higher evaporation efficiency/cooler temperatures. The patented axial prop is energy efficient and throws cool air farther. Molded with resin, creating a strong, yet lightweight design. These coolers have 3 media panels instead of a single panel found on most mobile coolers. The 3 panels allow more air-intake area and reduce pre-rotation of the air to the prop, which translates into lower static pressure and more efficient air delivery to the prop. A full 4.8-gallon water tank on this Hessaire cooler provides approximately 2 to 3 hours of continuous operation before needing a refill. The actual run time can vary based on ambient conditions and the fan speed setting, as the cooler will consume water more rapidly in hotter, drier air and when using the higher speed. For extended operation, the cooler can be connected to a garden hose for a continuous water supply, automatically maintaining its water level. This feature is intended for attended, outdoor use. You can find comprehensive operating details in the MC18 owner manual.
