The burner pan has a 1/2 inch welded nipple to affix the burner of your choice as well as weep holes that will drain away any water caught in the pan after a rainy night. When it comes to the building your fire pit, don't settle, get a burner pan that will last like this 18 inch stainless steel pan. One note, this is the burner pan only. Burner and regulator must be purchased separately.

This pan can either be drilled down onto the surface it's being set on, or it can be held down by the weight of the media placed on the pan.
