Customer Q&A with Product Specialists

James S. from Greeley CO 80634 asked:
How is the chimney flue ended with a chimney cap of this type? Simply cut the height to be 2" to 3" below the underside?

This cap is to be surface mounted down on to the crown of the chimney, around the flue or flues. The cap makes no contact with the flue(s), it has mounting strips that can allow masonry anchors and/or chimney top adhesive to attach the base to the crown of the chimney, provided there is enough room to do so, of course.
