My chimney flue clay liner does not project above the cemented cap so I need a device that will fit to the inside surface of the flue liner. I am having trouble finding units that do not require that the clamps fit to the outside of a flue liner. Do you have such a model? Also, I have a question about size; I measured the inside dimension of the square flue liner that shows at the top of the chimney. It is about 10-1/4 inches across (inside dimension). Does this mean that I have a 10 inch flue? Or, is it actually sized based on the outside dimension, which appears to be about 11-1/2 inches (12-inch liner)? I have attached 2 pictures of the top of my chimney. Thank you for your help.

For your flue, I would suggest the Draft King 11 in. x 11 in. Stainless Steel Single Flue Chimney Cover. To adhere it to your flue without the flue extending above the chimney crown, you can utilize the Leg Kit for Draft King Stainless Steel Chimney Cover, which allows it to friction fit to the inside of the clay flue.

    Should have Gotten Sooner
In retrospect, I believe my biggest mistake was to have waited so long to make the decision to go out and purchase this for my chimney. Aside from climbing on the ladder to install it, everything about this product was easy to handle.

    Grateful to Have
Even though I am a proud owner of this product, my ability to purchase one was made difficult due to Arizona's business regulations. Thankfully, I figured out how to get it.

    Eliminated Rain in Chimney
Aside from the ladder climb that proved to be the hardest part of installing this chimney cap, everything proved to be a breeze. Best of all, there is no more water coming into my chimney on rainy days.

    Worth It
This chimney cover is definitely worth the money that one will need to pay in order to purchase it. What really impressed me is how easy it was to actually install it. Even though it was not a requirement for me to do so, I decided to go ahead and get some sandpaper and lightly sand the covers to help give it additional protection. Overall, the service that this cover has given to my fireplace and to my home requires that it receive a rating of five stars.

    Must Have
The price of this product was excellent and the installation was a piece of cake. Best of all, this product is easy to adjust so I feel quite confident that if need ever arises; it will be quite easy to solve any problems that happen to arise. Just be sure to check the dimensions of your chimney to make sure you have the right item.

    Research Before Installing
Let me start off this review by stating that recently I had the opportunity to install a total of three of these caps. Overall, they are good products, but there are some design issues that need to be pointed out so that anyone installing them will know about it beforehand. When it comes to assembling it and installing it onto the chimney, there is not a great deal of labor or time involved. Here, the design is such that it has greatly simplified the installation process since it is made to go on very smoothly. Even though this is great at keeping most of the bugs and rain out of my fireplace, I am concerned that it might get blown off in a high wind. In addition, the galvanized steel that is used is susceptible to rusting. Finally, this item is not able to keep the really small insects out of the fireplace, so you will still need to deal with them on occasion.
