If the technical assistant cleaned the pilot and assembly parts, it could just be operating at a more optimal level than it was previously operating. The only other cause would be an adjustment to the gas input.

Open the control panel just below the viewing glass, push the gas control knob slightly in and turn this knob clockwise to the off position. If the pilot has been off for quite some time, you would not need to worry about waiting 5 minutes for the next step. If you smell gas, wait 5 minutes before attempting to light the pilot. Before lighting the pilot, you should look for the pilot assembly near the main burner to watch for the spark/pilot. To light the pilot, turn the gas control knob counterclockwise to the pilot position. With force, you should push the control knob in and immediately press the push-button spark igniter several times until the pilot is lit. Once the pilot is lit, continue holding the control knob in for about a minute before releasing the control knob. If the pilot does not stay lit, repeat the steps I have provided until the pilot remains lit. Once the pilot remains lit, you should be able to turn the control knob to the "on" position.
