I have an air handler (the unit that goes on the wall), model # 0-24-hp-wmah-230a. Is this the proper heat pump for it?
The MRCOOL 24K BTU 2 Ton VersaPro 2nd Gen Central Ducted Condenser is designed to pair with a compatible central ducted air handler from the VersaPro 2nd Gen series. The MRCOOL 24K BTU 2 Ton Hyper Heat and VersaPro 2nd Gen Central Ducted Air Handler (MRC-MVP-24-HP-MUAH-230A00-O) is an example of a compatible unit. Your air handler, model # 0-24-hp-wmah-230a, appears to be a wall-mounted unit from a DIY mini-split system that uses R410A refrigerant. MRCOOL units from different product series, such as mini-split systems and central ducted systems, are not cross-compatible. Therefore, your existing air handler is not compatible with the MRCOOL 24K BTU 2 Ton VersaPro 2nd Gen Central Ducted Condenser. Additionally, MRCOOL's DIY R410 refrigerant models are no longer available.
