A wood burning fireplace is not a thing of the past. Napoleon has modernized this traditional element and brought it into the 21st century with this Napoleon High Country 8000, low mass, wood burning fireplace. Featuring a brick interior and glass doors, this firebox was created with many different control options for the user. The doors were designed to not allow smoke into your living space upon opening. The glass doors open and close with ease, for comfort cleaning and operating the entire system. It fits a ten-inch chimney, allowing smoke to escape, all the while, maintaining the heat within the boundaries of your home.
Venting Requirements: This item requires a chimney with 1" inner diameter.

Also Note: Venting Requirements: This unit requires venting pipe with an inner diameter of 10 Inches. Please see the Venting Components section on this page for venting pipe that must be used with this unit.

Yes, there is no masonry chimney required for this fireplace, you would use a separately-purchased, appropriately-sized manufactured class A chimney pipe.
