The bottom of the firebox (hearth) is constructed of high-temperature refractory cement formed into a panel for easy replacement when necessary.

This fireplace requires an SL300 double-wall chimney pipe, none of which is included with the unit itself. As such, yes, you can order the fireplace and then as much of the chimney as needed for your application.
