Does this have a bottom to it or do you just put it on the ground? What about the ashes?

There is no bottom to this fire pit, and, thus, you would certainly need to occasionally clear the ashes and dispose accordingly.

Metalworks Moose wood burning fire ring
This fire ring is excellent! Very solid construction/ heavy gauge steel. Easy to put together. Should last us a very long time. We love the way it looks when a fire is burning.
