I have a 35x29 gas fireplace. Do I need to move the screen away from the opening entirely, ie off to the side, or can I move it forward about 12 in front of the opening, to safely operate the fire?
Installing this screen 12 inches in front of the fireplace should be enough to safely operate the unit.
