Should I use a 9" brush to properly clean a solid pack flue that has a 9" inner diameter, or should I use a 10" brush?
    1 Answer
For manufactured chimneys, it is ideal to use a brush that is 1 inch oversize, as this will offer better cleaning ability without limiting usability of the brush. A poly brush should also be used, as a wire brush can eventually damage the chimney. A good selection would be the 6-Inch x 10-Inch Rectangular Professional's Choice Polypropylene Brush Head with 3/8-Inch NPT Connector.
