Rutland Stack-N-Store Steel Brackets

If you find yourself in need of assembling a log rack of any size, then this is just the item you need! I am quite pleased to report that after using it for one season that I have absolutely no problems to report.

I managed to assemble this unit through the use of exterior screws and pressurized wood. This product's base is fabricated using eight foot 2 x 4's. So far, this product has proven itself to be terrific.

When you get down to it, this product is not designed to accommodate lumber measured out using modern dimensions. In order to make it work, you will need to cut the lumber in order to comfortably fit. The concept behind brackets such as these is that they should be easy to use, but in this situation, that is not the case. This is definitely unfortunate, because these brackets are really high quality. The big problem is that they are not properly built to the correct dimensions.

These are well priced brackets that do the job extremely well.

I am quite pleased to report that this item definitely is capable of living up to its billing. After purchasing a heavy duty tarp, a substantial quantity of pressure treated 2 x 4's, and a few bungee cords, creating a long lasting rack was easy. I am quite confident that these brackets are strong enough to last a long time to come.

When I began the process of trying to use these brackets, I discovered that them to be a little too small for the pressure treated 2 x 4's that I had selected to use. Thankfully, all I needed to do was to cut off a tiny amount of the 2 x 4's. Once they had been adapted, it was extremely easy to assemble everything into a very solid structure. I suppose that you could have built it from scratch utilizing deck angles, but by using these brackets, you are able to develop a rack that is extremely sturdy with the greatest of ease.

On the one hand, this product is well made, but on the other side, there are no instructions provided, making it a little bit of a challenge to use. I decided to modify the construction of this item, adding some diagonal braces to help provide needed support.

I think it is safe to say that this is a well made product that demonstrates why simplicity is sometimes the greatest attribute that a product can possess. I found myself looking around for different kits to accommodate the large quantities of wood that I needed to stack, and after a good deal of research I decided to settle on this product. It turns out that these brackets were just the right size and has fit both my yard perfectly. It also is capable of holding all of the wood that I need to store.

This log rack kit is easy for even wood working novices. I wanted to get something to store wood on that didn't cost much because I just moved into a new home and have a lot of wood to split. I made it large enough to hold about a half of a cord and already plan to get another kit so I can store a whole cord of wood before the next winter season. One of the ways I customized it was to cover it by putting an angled piece of wood and shingles on top. This really makes it look nice. It is a good idea to set it on some blocks. This way the wood dries out more quickly from the circulation. I was able to build a great rack the way I wanted at a fraction of the cost of others.

I would highly recommend these brackets for anyone who is looking for ways to improve their firewood burning experience. These are very sturdy, and they come at a bargain price.

If you are looking for a way to develop a strong rack of firewood quickly, then this is a product that you need to get. As we speak, I am currently up to a total of en racks, some of which date back as far as eight years. One person has come out in a review labeling this product as not appropriate for standardized lumber, but I am happy to report that this is not quite accurate.
