Will this work under a very small wood stove (made from an ammo can) to protect flooring underneath?
    1 Answer
This is meant to be used as insulation and is not suitable as floor protection.

When we had our woodstove installed, the installer did not put any material around the open damper plate (we have the pipe going up through the fireplace) and we would like to put ceramic wool in this space to prevent the cold air up the chimney from sucking heat out of the room. Can this ceramic blanket work for this purpose; and do I need to leave a gap around the stove pipe?
    1 Answer
I would recommend using rock instead to fill that gap. It is easier to work with and much more cost-effective.

Can this insulation be used in a gas stove to replace damaged insulation?
    1 Answer
This is indeed the ideal type of insulation to replace damage insulation blankets in an existing stove.
