My existing hearth is 6 inches higher than the floor and is in the corner. It extends 60 inches from the wall. I know the walls look like 90 degrees, but they are not. Can I trim this product to fit snug against the walls? Is there a faceplate I could put in front?
Hi Bill, the SBI 60 Inches Corner Modular Floor Protection System is designed as a floor protection pad and cannot be cut or trimmed to fit irregular walls, as stated in the product manual. This product is a hearth pad intended for floor protection only and does not typically utilize a faceplate. Faceplates are generally used for fireplaces or inserts to cover the space around the appliance opening or unfinished edges. This particular product is a 1/2 inch thick insulated floor protection system.
