Are these good bricks to line a brick oven?
    1 Answer
They are firebrick made from refractory cement (rated to 2100 degrees.). If it is a wood fired brick oven you are talking about I would say yes. Any other application you can check with the oven manufacture to see if these spec fit into what they require.

What do I use to cut these Refractory Bricks?

These bricks are medium density bricks that can be cut by a number of different methods. A circular saw or grinder that is equipped with a fibrous masonry cut off wheel can be used or if you have a large tile saw, that can be used as well.

These refractory bricks are constructed of inert materials that will not release byproducts when heated. As such, they can be used to line various appliances, including barbecues.

Do these bricks need to be mortared to the inside of a Century stove?

For the Drolet Century, the bricks will simply need to be placed inside the stove and held in position with the upper retainers. No use of mortar or any other adhesive is required, as the bricks will fit tightly together.
