The 8-hour burn time is the time that is based on the testing used to certify the appliance. The 8 hours is referencing the time that 40 pounds of wood were used at the testing facility.

Worth every penny

Was easy enough to install and literally heats my entire house. Hopefully I will be saving money on less use of oil heat
