*Venting Requirements: This unit requires venting pipe with an inner diameter of 6 Inches. Please see the Venting Components section on this page if available for venting pipe that must be used with this unit. This kit includes many of your Shasta chimney vent's needs. If your vent is going to be installed in a location that passes through a ceiling, a "Thru-The-Ceiling Kit" becomes highly necessary. This kit includes all items needed for a typical install of a chimney vent that goes through a ceiling: Support box: to hold the vent in place. Insulation Shield: ensuring heat does not transfer to the exterior of the vent system. Storm Collar: weather proofing the exterior portion of the chimney vent. Chimney Cap: closing off the top of your chimney as to not allow debris and animals to enter your vent system. |

Good kit
This kit has all the parts you need for a standard through the ceiling install. The insulation shield, chimney cap, and rain collar are all standard and fit together nicely. I am especially happy with the finish on the ceiling box so much so that I decided to leave a larger reveal to show off more of the box.

This kit included all the parts I needed to put a chimney in my 8/12 pitch roof.
