Does the door swing out from the side?
This ash dump door is designed to be used inside of the fireplace and the door pivots at about the 2/3 distance on the door. It is designed to be installed flat on the firebox floor.

We do not have such a piece with these dimensions. We recommend contacting a local machine shop or sheet metal fabricator to have one made locally.

I really like having an ash door on our fire place. It makes the appearance look much cleaner with the box in place because prior to putting this in there was no door and you could see all the ash.
