Unfortunately, your existing 12-inch pipe cannot be used to vent the DRL2000 series direct vent models. The DRL2000 series requires the SecureVent pipe, which has a 4.5-inch inside diameter and a 7.5-inch outside diameter. This pipe can run inside the 12", and, in fact, there is a flexible vent option to do just that.
