For optimal results, we recommend using a fresh container. Second, regarding removal technique: the directions do not call for heat or any chemical additives. Paint N Peel is a water-based cleaning poultice that does not require added water or solvent for removal. Allow the coating to dry completely, which typically takes 4 to 12 hours depending on environmental conditions. Then, start at an edge and slowly pull the dry film off at an angle, using both hands. Pulling quickly or tearing the film can cause it to fragment into small pieces, so working slowly from an edge is key to achieving a clean result. For the best peel next time, apply a thick, even coat, about 1/8 to 3/16 inch thick, across the entire surface, including the edges.
