What is the smallest quantity of SaverSystems PCR Poultice Creosote Remover that I can purchase? I have a light glaze and soot on the back brick of my firebox and would like to clean it myself with proper protection. I've only burned a face cord of wood in the four years since the house was built, and the chimney was just swept. I'm switching to kiln-dried wood this year, so would a PCR treatment be worth doing, or will the brick just turn black with my first fire anyway? I would appreciate any suggestions. The smallest PCR product we offer is the SaverSystems PCR Poultice Creosote Remover - 25 Pound Container, and we do not have a smaller size available. Based on your description and photos, a better solution for cleaning soot staining from the rear bricks of your firebox is SaverSystems' Paint-n-Peel product. This is applied with a stiff paintbrush and peels off easily the next day once it dries. It may require a couple of applications to clean the soot staining, but please be aware that the staining will only be lightened, not 100% removed, and will likely return once you start burning firewood again.
