Can this fan be mounted horizontally on the ceiling, particularly concerning the motor and belt drive?
This is designed as a wall-mounted exhaust fan, and the installation manual specifies mounting it within a framed wall opening. It does not mention or approve ceiling or horizontal mounting orientations. Given your concern for the motor and belt drive, we do not recommend installing it horizontally on a ceiling unless explicitly approved by the manufacturer.
