Does this UniFlame black wrought iron fireplace screen with flowing leaf design fit flat up against the fireplace?

Yes, this 1 screen panel is meant to placed flush with the fireplace opening for the best protection from sparks.

It does fit right against the brick. We love ours. It looks beautiful when there is a fire and when there isn't one!

Yes, as long as the fireplace opening is wide enough to allow the back legs to slide into the fireplace, the screen will fit flat up against the opening. I really like the look and quality of this fireplace screen. It is easy to move away to open the flue. The vine design shows up really nicely with a fire in background.

Attractive but defective
This is a very nice looking fireplace screen. However, it arrived damaged. A branch and leaves fell off at a welding site. This store has great service and reasonably promptly service and sent me another screen. Screen number two arrived damaged. Same thing, a branch and leaves fell fell off at a welding site. In addition, there is another leaf that is loose. They say they will refund my money and that transaction is still pending. I believe they will follow through. They seem like a reliable company and respond quickly. This will not prevent me from doing business with them although I will pick out another screen.

A Happy Choice
This is a delicate yet simple pattern. Easy to assemble, looks great in my room, and and am very pleased with this screen. It is graceful in design and does not overwhelm my small room. The price was good and the service was prompt.
No negatives at all.
