Uniflame Bronze Arched Fireplace Screen with Doors

This piece would have been so nice and convenient to replace my bulky fireplace screen that I had to move to get to the fire. I loved the nice, simple doors, and it's the perfect size. But the first one delivered was ridiculous - the plant had put one of the doors on so that it could not open - the bottom was in front of the magnet (properly), but the top was behind it so that it could not swing either way because the magnets were blocking, and the hinges are not removable, so I couldn't fix it. Otherwise, it looked great. The replacement sent to me was worse, in a way. The hinges were put too high on one side, so the door was too high in the frame, and it sags awfully. I'm sick of dealing with it, so I guess I'll just have ugly, unsightly uneven doors, which are very obvious because of the knobs. Also, the second one was covered in white dust, which I can only assume is filled with lead, since it came from China. Uniflame: pay your workers more to take pride in their work, do good quality control, and charge more - I would rather pay more for a piece that I like instead of waste time and money on one I hate!

This is a sturdy and well-built screen. I like that it has doors instead of having to move the whole thing to get to the fireplace. I can tell it will be safer and look better than my old screen. It arrived sooner than expected which was a nice surprise! I will be ordering from them again. The only problem I had was with the instruction sheet the print was so light I couldn't read it. But thankfully the simple design only has 4 attachments which were easy to put together.
