Does the chimney need to be cleaned from the bottom up once this is installed?
While cleaning from the bottom is possible, the cable gets in the way. It is best to remove the damper cap and cable, then service the chimney from the top when a top-mounted damper is installed.

Good product!
The damper is easy to install and is made by very good material! Sealing is very efficient I do not have any air drafting so far!
