Customer Q&A with Product Specialists
David W.
from asked:
My fireplace has an existing throat damper with a chain. I want to use the firebox bracket and masonry anchors from the US Fireplace Products UFP-TDIK kit as a fixed point for an extension chain to hold the damper open. Can I purchase the bracket and anchors separately, and would they be suitable for this application?
The US Fireplace Products Top Damper Install Kit (UFP-TDIK) includes a handle and chain assembly, a keyhole bracket, silicone, two nail anchors, and an Allen wrench. The keyhole bracket and anchors are not available as separate items.
