Customer Q&A with Product Specialists

Adam from bay shore asked:
Regarding the Vacu Stack VSS-07 Chimney Cap, my flue pipe is 8x8 square. Will the VSS-07 work, and do I need an adapter for the round-to-square connection?
Regarding the Vacu Stack VSS-07 Chimney Cap, my flue pipe is 8x8 square. Will the VSS-07 work, and do I need an adapter for the round-to-square connection?
The Vacu Stack VSS-07 is designed for a round 7-inch diameter flue and will not mount directly onto an 8x8 square flue. An adapter is required. Vacu Stack offers a Masonry Tile Adapter that converts a square or rectangular clay flue tile opening to the round collar that the cap seats into. The cap and adapter are sized as a matched pair based on the actual inside dimension of the flue tile opening. Ensure that whatever you are venting can accommodate a 7-inch opening, as the Vacu Stack may reduce the overall flue size.
