It prevents chimney back drafts and makes helps when it's time to start the stove. This damper is spring activated and is fast and easy to install.

Can I use this on my fireplace?
This damper is not meant to be used in a fireplace. It is designed for use inside of ductwork. It will not work in a fireplace.

This is meant for use with a wood furnace with an 8" flue opening.
