I'm looking to install a Ventis heat shield on my mantle. It appears to be 12" wide to start with. What is the length, please? Should the heat shield be the full width of the mantle? We just installed an HE250R and are preparing to do the finishing work.
The Ventis Surround/Shelf Heatshield is designed to accommodate shelf depths from 6" to 12" and can extend up to 84" (2.1 m) in length. For optimal protection and installation, the heat shield should cover the full width of your mantle.
