Can this be placed under a wood-burning stove?
This is a Type 1 Ember Defender hearth pad, designed for ember protection only. It does not have an R-value and does not provide heat protection to the subfloor. Whether a Type 1 pad is sufficient under a wood-burning stove depends on the floor protection rating specified in that stove's owner's manual. Some units require the added heat protection of a Type 2 rated pad. Our stove board buyer's guide covers the differences between Type 1 and Type 2 ratings in more detail. We cannot confirm which rating your stove requires without its make and model. If you can provide that information, we can help confirm whether this Type 1 pad meets your stove's floor protection requirement.

Type 1 stove boards do not list R-value, as they are only designed for ember protection, and not heat protection.
