Product Details
Are you ready to replace your current firebox with a more environmentally responsible unit? Bio Flame has created a firebox that will fit in standard sized 38 inch wide openings, so you can upgrade your fireplace to a bio-fueled fire. This firebox comes with a 16 inch burner that's protected by 8 mm of tempered glass.
Customer Q&A with Product Specialists
Jackie
from Philadelphia asked:
Can this be used as an insert in place of a gas fireplace?
No. This is a vent-free ethanol firebox with a 16-inch ethanol burner, not a gas appliance, so it does not run on a gas line. Per the installation instructions, the firebox cavity must be lined with at least 3/8-inch cement board, and only non-combustible materials may be used around it. The unit measures 38 inches wide, 22 1/2 inches high, and 12 3/4 inches deep. We cannot confirm that it is approved for installation inside an existing gas fireplace, so please check with the manufacturer before planning that type of installation.
