The manufacturer will not make exceptions. Foil Face FlexWrap is a great insulator at an outstanding value. It consists of special ceramic fibers that resist separation, making it perfect for installations with bends or offsets. When installed, it also helps to center your liner properly in the chimney. The ceramic blanket is covered with a tough aluminum foil that's 2mm thick for 1/4-in. or 3mm thick for 1/2-in. The foil adds insulating value and makes FlexWrap easy to work with. To install FlexWrap just wrap in lengthwise on the pipe and secure it with an adhesive. Seal the seams with foil tape and cover it with HomeSaver ArmorMesh.
