I have a metal 12" outside diameter chimney and the cap has rusted off, will this work?

This cap is made to clamp around a 12" HomeSaver chimney liner, not a manufactured chimney pipe. Please advise on your application -- is it chimney liner or a manufactured chimney pipe? What is the inner diameter of it, and, if applicable, is it solid-pack (insulated with a ceramic blanked) or air-cooled (insulated with air)? We look forward to your response so we can advise further.

This type of cap is actually better suited to installation in a flexible chimney liner, rather than rigid pipe. We do however, have plenty of universal caps that can be installed on a rigid chimney system. Please advise what the inside diameter of the chimney is and I will be happy to recommend the proper cap for your needs.
