    1 Question & 1 Answer
    Bob
    from Anchorage, Alaska asked:

I have a wood stove in my cabin and I want to install a small oil heater next to it for supplemental heating. Can I run three-inch black pipe from my oil stove, then turn it at a 45 or 90 degree bend and run it into my wood stove's 6" black stovepipe?
    1 Answer
While it is possible to run separate vent stacks immediately adjacent to one another, I cannot recommend tying the two together. The reason for this is that the unequal pressure in the vent stacks can cause either of the units to perform poorly and pull against one another. The different in stack diameters will also make the issue worse. I will be happy to assist you in getting a list of needed components together for the oil heater, if you choose to proceed with the adjacent vent stack.
