*Venting Requirements: This unit requires venting pipe with an inner diameter of 4 Inches. Please see the Venting Components section on this page if available for venting pipe that must be used with this unit. This DuraVent Pro extension can be used when you need a little extra length but don't need an entire section. Like other DuraVent Pro components. , this one has a 0.020" aluminum inner wall and a 26-gauge galvanized steel outer wall and can be used with most direct vent appliances. This piece has a 4" inner diameter with a 6-5/8" outer diameter and it comes with a sleek black finish. No fasteners are needed for connection because a twist lock system is used. This piece is compatible with other DuraVent Pro components. and comes in lengths of 8" and 16". A limited lifetime warranty applies. |

Can this be cut to fit the desired length? I need to add about 3 to 4 inches to an existing section of pipe. The stove is direct vent and due to home home renovations now sits about 3 to 4 inches lower than the previous installation.

This pipe cannot be cut, but it can slide over a previous length of the 46DVA DirectVent Pro pipe and add anywhere from 3 to 7 inches of length, depending on where you set this piece (using self-tapping or sheet metal screws).

What is the range of adjustability of the pipe extension? In the buyers guide manual it says this pipe can be adjusted between 3" & 7"

This pipe is 8.5 inches in length, but, yes, it is meant to extend another 46DVA pipe length anywhere between 3 and 7 inches.
