If your ventilation installation requires a minimum vent height, this DirectVent Pro Snorkel vent termination cap will provide that additional height. Manufactured by Dura-Vent this termination cap allows direct vent systems to meet minimum height requirements while providing a unitized, coaxial venting system that is designed for use with direct vent gas or propane heaters and fireplaces. Made with .020 in. aluminum inner wall, and .018 in. galvanized steel outer wall, this termination cap is compatible with DirectVent Pro venting products and is available in 2 sizes.

Can the bottom of this snorkel vent termination cap be buried underground if it is surrounded by concrete?
The DirectVent Pro installation manual does not approve burying the base of the Snorkel or surrounding it with concrete, so we cannot confirm that installation. The manual states that if a Snorkel Termination must be installed below grade level (for example, in a basement application), proper drainage must be provided to prevent water from entering it. It also states not to attempt to enclose the Snorkel within a wall or any other type of enclosure. Because a below-grade or concrete-encased installation goes beyond what the manual describes, please confirm your plan with your fireplace manufacturer and your local code official or a certified hearth professional before proceeding. You can review the DirectVent Pro installation manual (Snorkels section, page 10).

The C dimension is 14 inches for the 46DVA-SNK14 and 36 inches for the SNK36.

No, this snorkel termination is only compatible with rigid 46DVA DuraVent pipe components.
