I am connecting a 6" DuraPlus chimney pipe to a 6" single wall chimney pipe. (The OD of the single wall pipe is actually 6"). What else do I need? Would this even work or should I get a Dura-Black 6DBK-SCW Welded Steel Stovepipe Slip Connector with Trim - 6-Inch Diameter?
    1 Answer
As you are using single wall stove pipe, you would not want to use this DVL section as it is double wall stove pipe and is not appropriate for your transition. Instead, at the ceiling, you'll want to frame in a Round Ceiling Support and, yes, you'll use the slip connector to make the connection.
