Can this be used to go through a masonry basement wall with an 8-inch ID opening to connect to a masonry chimney, or is there something else I should use for Class A pipe?

If you are venting a wood-burning stove into a masonry chimney, you can use single-wall or double-wall stovepipe to the chimney; Class A would not be necessary.

    Stove project
First off,I completely gutted my garage and making a Great room out of this space. For heat I chose a wood burning stove.I purchased two finishing collars, one on the inside of room and one on the outside.Along with these collars,I bought 16 ' of stove pipe for this project. (elbows, thimble etc.)Every thing went together good. The stove is in and their's a good draft for the heat to rise.
Prosright size and seals up tight.
