Can this item be used for cable management from ceiling to floor? I'm looking for 10ft. of material to house cables being dropped from the ceiling.

While not it's original intended purpose, I do not see any reason why this material cannot be used in this way. My only reservation about using this product for this type of use would be the type of cabling that is passing through it. Local code may require an insulated conduit, such as PVC or plastic, to house electrical cable.
