This chimney pipe flashing is designed for when your chimney needs to extend through a pitched roof. When you need flashing for an eight inch diameter chimney roof pipe, this flashing will adjust for a pitch of anywhere from 2/12 pitch to 6/12 pitch. This flashing will hold your chimney firmly in place while preventing rain and moisture from descending down through the chimney opening. A separately purchased collar must be installed to make your installation complete.

What is the width of this flashing?
    1 Answers
The base of this flashing measures 33" wide (when facing up the slope of the roof) and 30" deep (front to back from that perspective). The opening of the flashing measures 19 7/8" in diameter at the base and 10 1/8" in diameter at the top.

Does this flashing fit around 8" inside diameter/10" outside diameter Class A pipe?
    1 Answers
That is correct. A storm collar that is listed for 8 inch Class A pipe will also need to be used to complete the installation.

I am looking at the MetalBest Ultra-Temp 8 inch Diameter Chimney pipe roof flashing - Adustable -for 2/12 to 6/12 pitch part. It says that it is adjustable for 2/12 to 6/12. Does that mean that it is built exactly for a 4/12 pitch which is right in the middle of the two other numbers? The reason I ask is because I have a 4/12 pitch roof and want a flashing that is exactly that. The one that is on my house right now was adjustable too and has never looked right. That is why I want exactly a 4/12 pitch.

The cone on this flashing is shaped in such as way that the pipe will pass through it, without touching the cone, as long as the roof pitch is between the 2/12 and 6/12 that is specified. That being said, if your roof pitch is 4/12, the pipe would pass through this cone at the most aesthetically pleasing angle. There would be an equal amount of space on either side of the pipe. This would definitely be your best option, if the symmetrical look is desired.

How do you adjust it to make it fit the pitch of the roof?
    1 Answers
After the pipe installation is complete, the roof flashing slides over the pipe and is attached to the roof under your shingles. You will be able to adjust the base of this flashing to fit pitches from 2/12 to 6/12.
