What are the dimensions of this adaptor and of the silver connector?
This connector does indeed measure right at 6 inches, as it is designed to slip around the collar of the Duratech and Duraplus support boxes and round ceiling support. The bottom section flares out to approximately 7 1/8 inches and will connect to the DVL stovepipe system.

Can I connect Dura brand stove pipes to my existing Amerivent Class A chimney using the adapters you carry?
This adapter is designed specifically to connect DuraVent DVL double-wall stovepipe to the DuraVent brand Class A chimney system (DuraTech or DuraPlus) at a ceiling support box or wall thimble. It is not designed or approved for connecting to Amerivent chimney pipe. Venting components are brand and series specific, and different chimney pipe brands should not be mixed within the same system unless the manufacturer specifically approves the connection. As we do not carry Amerivent products, we cannot confirm whether a cross-brand connection is approved. Please consult the installation instructions for your existing Amerivent chimney system or contact Amerivent directly to determine if they authorize connecting a DuraVent transition component.

The anchor plate you purchased is designed to connect directly to 6-inch inner diameter DuraTech chimney pipe. This DVL adapter is used for a different part of the venting system, primarily for connecting DuraVent DVL stovepipe to a Class A chimney pipe system (like DuraTech or DuraPlus) at a ceiling support box or wall thimble. Please ensure that the pipe sections you intend to connect to the DuraTech to DuraLiner anchor plate are compatible with a 6-inch inner diameter DuraTech system.
