Please see the Venting Components section on this page if available for venting pipe that must be used with this unit. * Please Note: This FMI/Superior High Temperature (HT) item should only be combined with other FMI/Superior HT components. If you need help with getting the correct chimney components, please contact us and our fireplace specialist will be happy to help. This 24 inch piping length is made by IHP/Superior, and it is compatible with all of their other products. By using this in your home, you can finish your ventillation system without the need for conversion kits or pipe increasers. This pipe length can be used with all other IHP/Superior pipes that have the same diameter, and when used together they form a secure connection that is durable and leak proof. This piping also uses 2 walls of insulation, making it a great fit for tight spaces because clearance needed is greatly reduced. |

Will this pipe work in chase made of combustible material and still be safe?

This Class A piping can indeed be used in a combustible chase. It is required to maintain a 2-inch buffer zone around the pipe for cooling purposes. No materials, other than metal support strapping or a metal fire stop, can be installed within the 2-inch buffer zone.
